CART - Communication Access Realtime Translation

This new and innovative training program will prepare you for a career as a CART provider.  This program has been specifically designed by experts in the field to provide participants with hands-on training through online multi-media class sessions, manual review, dictionary builders and realtime writing evaluations.  The course is limited to 10 participants and is taught in a unique fashion.

Module 1 All CART components (Up to four weeks of training)

Entry requirement for Module 1:  Must be a proficient realtime writer with thorough knowledge of CAT software.

• The CART environment
• The CART Provider's Manual
• Set up and display
• Remote CART services
• Glossary preparation
• Writing exercises
• Self-Evaluation Process

Module 2 Remote CART (Up to two hours of training)

Entry requirement for Module 2:  Must have completed Module 1 or have like experience, access to the Internet, computer headset if necessary.

• Fundamentals of Remote CART
• Audio acquisition
• Understanding streaming platforms
• Serial IP and beyond
• Writing without seeing

Costs for Module 1 CART Training are as follows:

For RealtimeFitnessOnline full members, the cost is $200 for this module.  If the CART module is not completed in 4 weeks, the fee is charged again until completion is reached. 

For non-members, the fee is $300 this module.  If the CART module is not completed in 4 weeks, the fee is charged again until completion is reached.
