CART Training
Communication Access Realtime Translation Training

RFO’s CART Training is a new and innovative training program that will prepare you for a career as a CART provider.  This program has been specifically designed by experts in the field to provide students with hands-on training through online multi-media class sessions, manual review, dictionary builders, and realtime writing evaluations.  The course is limited to 10 participants, assuring you will receive close attention from your instructor.

CART Training Course Objectives: (four weeks)
  • The CART environment
  • The CART Provider's Manual
  • Set up and display
  • Remote CART services
  • Glossary preparation
  • Writing exercises
  • Self-Evaluation Process
Entry requirements:  Must be a proficient realtime writer with thorough knowledge of CAT software.

Costs: $300 for the 4 week course

If the CART Training course is not completed in 4 weeks, the fee is charged again until completion is reached.

Continuing Education Units: .04 CEUs

The CART Training course is eligible for .04 CEU credits from the NCRA.
