Judicial Realtime Reporting

So you are ready to take your judicial career to the next level, what does that entail?

First, let’s answer a few questions:

  • Have you resolved all of your writing conflicts?
  • Have you resolved all of your word boundaries?
  • Do you enjoy being passed up for an assignment of a big case just because you cannot provide Realtime service?
  • Do you enjoy spending more time than necessary editing your transcripts?
  • Is your translation the best that it can be?

If you answered "no" to any or all of the above, you have come to the right place. It’s no secret that providing a Realtime service in today’s technology market is essential in order to remain competitive. Those who have taken on the challenge are enjoying a rewarding judicial career as well as being able to more easily transition to other areas including CART and Captioning.

If you are one who keeps telling yourself, “I just don’t have the time!” you cannot afford not to have the time. Reporters every day continue to work full time while achieving their realtime goals. Most find that they can easily employ these new techniques and methods into their daily writing in order to master them.

Through the "Fundamentals of Realtime Training" we will help you achieve your goals. This training is unique. It does not teach tricks and shortcuts to writing.  Rather, it builds how you write and gives you strategies to be successful.   The course is limited to 10 participants.

Realtime Module Objectives:

  • Overview of being realtime readiness
  • Evaluating your translation
  • Resolving your translation issues
  • Dictionary maintenance and development
  • Realtime job preparation
  • Writing exercises
  • Realtime self-evaluation

Entry requirement:  Must be an RPR or pass our instructor's writing evaluation. Thorough knowledge of CAT software is required.

To qualify for the course, RealtimeFitnessOnline requires a "realtime writing status evaluation." You will be provided instructions on writing a file with submission of your notes for review. Your training will then be tailored to fit your needs.

If you question your readiness, RealtimeFitnessOnline offers a “realtime ready review.”  Judy Brentano, CMS II, creator will give you specifics for a file to be written and she will then review the writing to determine your readiness for the series.
